Blog

There are prolly about a million things you can do with it, and you can do basically anything you want, but these are my favourite things I ALWAYSSSS do with my most favourite fruit in the worlddddddd (to emphasize my love for avocados)

1) AVOCADO SMOOTHIE

There are basically no rules in making an avocado smoothie, but below are the basic ingredients and steps to a yummiest avo smoothie. Trust me, the one you make yourself is way way better than the ones you order in cafes, healthier (in terms of milk used and sweetener) and a lot more bargain for your money too!

Ingredients

1 ripe avocado

1-2 cup(s) of milk/soymilk/almond milk

2-4 dates

2-3 table spoon of honey

Hershey’s chocolate syrup (if desired)

Instructions

  • Cut avocados in half and pit out the seed
  • Scoop avocados out from the skin and combine with pitted dates, honey and milk
  • Blend until smooth. add more milk if the consistency is too thick for your liking

For a twist in the avocado taste, add in a handful of strawberries and blend with the rest.

2) AVOCADO CHICKEN SANDWICH

There are heaps of chicken sandwiches or tuna salads even to add avocados to, but below is one recipe adapted from a recipe at the back of my favourite dried cranberry fix (Ocean Spray)

Makes 4 sandwiches

Ingredients: Salad

2 cooked chicken breasts, sliced

1/2 cup Craisins/Dried cranberries

1/4 cup spring onion

2 table spoons sliced black olives

1/2 cup ranch/mayo dressing

Ingredients: Sandwich

Whole grain bread

Romaine lettuce

1 large ripe avocado, sliced

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, stir together all the ingredients in “Ingredients: Salad”
  • To assemble: Place 1 lettuce leaf on top of 1 slice of bread. Top about 1/4 of the avocado slices. Place about 1 cup salad on sandwich and top off with 1 bread
  • Refrigerate any leftovers

3) AVOCADO MASK

Take it from Amenakin herself

Ingredients

1/2 ripe avocado, sliced

1 cup milk/yogurt

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients and blend. Add more yogurt/milk if the consistency is too thick for your liking.
  • However, do remember this is to be used as a mask, therefore it is highly advisable for it to be thick to maintain it’s adherence to surface of face or hair

Hope you’ll fall in love with it like I do! <3
